Christmas can feel lighter when we show up for each other.
Project Christmas began in 2018 with one family in mind. Today, our volunteer team works with Windsor-Essex neighbours, businesses and community groups to support families through a difficult season.
Each family is nominated by someone who knows them. We listen, build a thoughtful wishlist and bring together the people and essentials that can make the holidays feel a little brighter.

How it works
Every family is more than a number.
We keep the process personal, private and community-led.

A community member nominates
Someone who knows the family shares why support would help.

We learn what the family needs
Our team connects with selected families and creates a personalized wishlist.

A sponsor adopts a family
Sponsors choose a family whose story speaks to them. They can shop from the wishlist, or donate and have our team do the shopping.

Volunteers wrap the gifts
We host community wrapping parties where volunteers wrap gifts for the families.

Our elves deliver across the city
Our team loads up the delivery truck and delivers gifts to families across Windsor-Essex.
